"How to Find Outside Funding"

Part of the EGO Professional Seminar Series

We all know money is tight, and finding a way to financially survive in graduate school without acquiring mountains of debt is difficult if not impossible. However, there are funding possibilities outside the English department and the university, and while the competition is always fierce, it is still possible to get grants and fellowships to support dissertation research, language courses, and/or special projects. Come to EGO's Professional Seminar Series this week and hear from English graduate students who have successfully secured outside funding about where to look, when to start, and how to plan.

Next Seminar: How to Find Outside Funding
When: THIS Wed, March 24th, 2010, 4pm-5pm
Where: Bartlett 256
Who Should Come: Anyone who is interested in getting extra funding for special study. Anyone who has successfully secured funding and can offer advice to the rest of us. Everyone is welcome.
What: A short seminar to introduce you to funding resources beyond TA / TO appointments provided by the department.
